Your Patient Advocate will not only support you through the healthcare process, but also stand up for your patient rights, protect you against any potential problems, and help walk you through the insurance process.

At the Altus Emergency Center in Waxahachie, our Patient Advocate Department is here for you! Whether it is a specific need during a visit or a billing issue after you’ve been treated, your support system is ready to go to work on your behalf so that you can focus on recovery.

As We Often Say: The Real Job Begins After Your Visit.

Once you’ve been treated, our Patient Advocate Department will be working to make sure your insurance company’s Explanation of Benefits (EOB) fits with the treatment received so that your claim gets processed quickly and correctly.

In cases where the insurance company may have made an error, we also work to fix any mistakes and can even file an appeal for you. We are dedicated to standing up for our patients so that they don’t get taken advantage of. The appeals process can take up to 3 months, but we are dedicated to handling any situation as quickly as possible—while keeping you informed the entire way.

Our Patient Advocate Department also manages any other financial issues you may experience. This includes payment plans, financing, and hardship programs for those in need. Regardless of your financial situation, we at Altus are here to help!
